Calibrating the telescope:
Use focus
curves to verify the focus height of the platform.
Use heiles calibration scans to acquire the data:
-
2 crosses rotated 45 degrees with legs of +/- 3 hpbw each.
1 sec sampling. Spectra taken in full stokes mode (I,Q,U,V).
-
Fire a cal diode to get the temperatures in kelvins.
-
Use point sources with known flux to compute the gain.
-
The plots show the results
of the calibrations:
-
gain
curve fits all receivers
-
hpbw
vs freq. for all receivers.
-
Some recent high
frequency gain curves (note that cband tsys improved 25may05
with new amps).
