Calibrating the telescope:

Use heiles calibration scans to acquire the data:

• 2 crosses rotated 45 degrees with legs of +/- 3 hpbw each. 1 sec sampling. Spectra taken in full stokes mode (I,Q,U,V).
• 2380 Mhz Total power example of 3C138
• lbw drive 6*3.2Amin in 60 secs=19.2 asec/sec. Fastest drive rate is 19.2 +15 asec/sec when going with sidereal motion.
• Fire a cal diode to get the temperatures in kelvins.
• Use point sources with known flux to compute the gain.
• The plots show the results of the calibrations:
• gain curve fits  all receivers
• hpbw vs freq.   for all receivers.
• Some recent high frequency gain curves  (note that cband tsys improved 25may05 with new amps).
