Started by Henning 09 October 2005, continued by all other observers A smooth observing session has about 18 basketweave loops, each known as a "lambda". Each part of a loop takes 3.1 minutes, thus a full loop is 6.2 minutes plus overhead, including calibration. We have been using 450 sec for box size and max cycles in livedata. SFS stands for Smart Frequency Switching, the GALFA calibration routine done each day at the beginning of the observations. There is a very bright transient signal in .0007.fits, persistent artifacts that we presume to be internal reflections near 1385 and 1400 MHZ in channel 3A, intermittent broadband transient signals not consistent with a fixed declination, and an apparently higher ambient noise as indicated by the Quicklook Data View application. It is also important to note that after today's scheduled run, Douglas performed a parallactic angle test of the ALFA array.
