Standing waves (about 1 Mhz period).
Frequency switching does not work well

If you are driving the telescope, you can use nearby samples to remove the bandpass. Can't go too far in distance and the integrations have to be short enough..
The sun standing wave problem is worst at noon but is also bad at sunrise and sunset.
Continuum sources in the beam will cause standing waves (
