From: Francisco Cordova Date: Mon, Feb 3, 2020 at 10:03 AM Subject: [AOstaff] Restarting Observations at AO To: Dear AO staff, Hope all is well. After the series of earthquakes that have impacted P.R. we had temporarily suspended operations until a thorough inspection of the primary structural elements was completed. We were able to complete that inspection last week; the three concrete towers, platform steel structure and mechanical components, Gregorian dome and site buildings were inspected and no significant damage was found; only minor damage was found at some cable dampers (which will be replaced), the outside stairs at building #2 (which is already fixed) and loose debris around the site. Having found no structural damage, *we have officially restarted science observations.* Thanks to the platform and maintenance employees for inspecting, fixing and cleaning the affected areas. As a safety precaution, access to the Platform will be limited to essential personnel performing maintenance tasks only. Before accessing the Platform your name must be recorded by the telescope operator. Thanks,
