Misc (top)

• AO computer to talk to patriot drives.

• For now run from ntp0 .. we've got drive configured for this.

17mar14: can not talk to the amplifier

• 08mar14 stopped talking
• ping would not work
• we saw arp requests being answered by the drive
• we also saw the drive making ntp requests
• The problem was the connection fitlering:
• it somehow got turned on:
• menu 17:39 had a 1 in it..
•  this is filtering on. so it wouldn't reply to our unicast requests.
• 
  
• To  fix it:
• we first edit 17.39 setting it to 0, saving with 1000 and cycling the power.
  
• this still had 17.39 as 1.
• we needed to edit 20.18  and change it from 1 to 0.
  
• a power cycle then had 17.39 and 20.18 as a 0.
• I think the first problem was that mark's program takes the value in 20.18 and loads it in 17.39 on bootup.
