Radar mapping of Venus in future years

The quest for more data


Current plans call for a radar interferometry experiment involving the Arecibo Observatory and the Greenbank 140 foot radio telescope to gain altimitry data for the northern hemisphere. In this mode of operation Arecibo would transmit the S-band radar pulse and both Arecibo and Greenbank would receive this pulse. Current calculations are availiable:
