25 oct 2004 WF+BC+EM observing source fits scan loops comments field2 J000014.9+154342.5 0001 1 T=107 secs; check cals (script modified) Tcal=5sec. See (1) Cal did not fire; cals fired by hand several times field2 J000014.9+154342.5 0002-0004 junk (2) field2 J000014.9+154342.5 0005 3 script now fires cal twice. Tcal=3sec. Aborted after 3 loops field2 J000014.9+154342.5 0006 2 ALFA angle set to zero. (3) field2 J000014.9+154342.5 0007,0008 junk field2 J000014.9+154342.5 0009 5 WAPPs restarted. Cals fired twice for 5 secs. (4) field2 J000014.9+154342.5 0010 1 Fire cal once for 5 secs. Notes: (1) Beams 4,5,6 (A and B) missing from Mikael's data display. Checked with WAPRED, and we see data in each beam (also power levels and frontend monitor display show that things are ok) (2) something wrong with the coordinates... tracks on sky are wrong. (3) IMPORTANT: ALWAYS SET ALFA ROTATION ANGLE=0 AT THE BEGINNING!!! Now coords look ok (probably) (4) Restarting WAPPs has fixed all the problems with Mikael's program. Cals fire twice as they should, but do not last 5 secs. Do not trust what was done before fits 0009 (everything was ok according to WAPRED, though). Mikael says that power jumping with cals is normal. Also tracks on sky look ok now. Mikael says that cal is fired for 5 secs, but display shows only 1 scan (which is 5 secs long).
