Arecibo telescope proposal deadlines fall on the first Thursday of March and September each year. The corresponding scheduling terms are July 1–December 31 and January 1–June 30.
We invite proposals for the use of the Arecibo 305-m telescope for the Thursday, September 1, 2016 (17:00 AST, 21:00 UTC), deadline. These requests should be for telescope usage within the six-month (or in some cases one-year) period beginning January 1, 2017. This call does not include proposals for use of the HF Facility for ionospheric modification.
Proposals should be prepared under the procedures detailed in our guidelines. Please note that these have been substantially revised, a summary of the more major changes and the rationale behind them can be found here and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on the new policies and procedures can be found here. Note that the FAQ will be updated as questions come in, so please check back.
