Jon, I have had discussions with the AIPS group and short discussions with both Craig and Joan to find the optimal way to append the Tsys values of Arecibo into AIPS. ANTAB recognizes a gain curve, but it doesn't recognize a Tsys curve or add corrections to it that are dependent on the flux density of the sources. So, the only way would be to make a keyin format text file which includes the gain curve and the Tsys values for each source as a function of time. For this purpose I'am modifying the SCHED output text file for Arecibo which has time, elevation and source name information in addition to other stuff. I will generate a column in this text file which has the Tsys values given as: Tsys= Tsys_curve(ZA)+ Flux density(source)*gain_curve(ZA) throughout the whole Arecibo run. Once this is done, the reduction will become straight forward and back on track. Tapasi, Thanks to you and Chris for providing the Tsys curve and mentioning the need of correcting it. Would you please provide me with the RFI information during BM159b's run, if it is available? I would like to flag the RFI time ranges, specially the strong ones, from the UV data, so that the a priori amplitude calibration would be as accurate as possible. Cheers, Emmanuel
