Comparison Curves

• Minimum detectable flux density (8.5 sigma) at 430 MHz, ZA=0, b=90 deg.
  The eight curves/machine are for DM = 0 (dashed), 10, 20, 40, 80, 160, 320, 640 pc/cm^3

  Red = AOFTM (2x1024x10 kHz)

  Green = PSPM (2x128x60 kHz)

  Black = old AO filter bank (2x32x250 kHz)

• Volume sampled in a high latitude survey of 680 deg^2.

• Volume sampled in a low latitude survey of 680 deg^2.
  

  These curves are the volumes sampled taking into account dispersion & scattering smearing as a function of L_p = pseudo luminosity (mJy kpc^2).
