Ilian Torres Trinidad is currently undergoing a bachelor in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras Campus. She is currently researching in the area of cyber security with her mentor Arun Venkataraman. Her research consists of Network switches and routers. Network switches and routers are used to keep traffic flowing through the complex AO computer network. Pinpointing the location of a fault on this network requires in-situ monitoring and analysis of the traffic patterns. NetFlow and sFlow are well-known tools provided with several brands of switches. She will create a database of the AO traffic patterns using these tools and facilitate discovery of problems. Ilian is currently in her last year of studies and looking forward to researching colleges for her Masters Degree in Data Science or Cyber security.

Ashley Piccone has just finished her junior year as an Engineering Physics major at Colorado School of Mines. She is currently conducting research in the Atmospheric and Space Science group at Arecibo Observatory under the supervision of Dr. Jens Lautenbach. Her research topic entails enhancing the capabilities of the potassium lidar by designing, constructing, and implementing a steerable telescope system in order to make meridional wind measurements. She is looking forward to the opportunities that a summer in Puerto Rico presents, as well as applying to graduate school in the fall. She is also the Vice President of her school's Panhellenic Executive Council and an active member of Blue Key Honor Society, Order of Omega Greek Honor Society, and the Society of Women in Physics. Additionally, she enjoys hiking, reading, and playing soccer.

Lucas McDonald has just completed his freshman year as an Electrical Engineering major at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is currently developing systems to monitor the forward and reflected power of the HF and S-band transmitters at Arecibo Observatory. He previously worked on the Quarknet Radio Telescope project in conjunction with Fermilab National Accelerator Laboratory

Natalia Soto is currently in her senior year as a Geology major at the University of Puerto Rico - MayagŁez Campus (UPRM). She is currently conducting research alongside the Planetary Radar group at the Arecibo Observatory with her mentor Anne Virkki. Her research entails the analysis of radar, optical and CPR images in order to identify geologic structures in the lunar surface and make inferences about the physical properties of these structures. She is looking forward to go to graduate school and specialize in planetary geology. She is also a member of the Student Geology Society on campus.

Kelby D. Palencia Torres is an undergraduate Theoretical Physics student at the university of Puerto Rico Mayaguez Campus (UPRM) . He just finished his freshman year and is currently working with a project , along side his mentor Dr. Robert Minchin, at the Arecibo Observatory offered by the REU program. The research is about Neutral Hydrogen (HI) emission to identify galaxies in regions where it would be difficult to detect optically. He is currently part of the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) association in Mayaguez where they promote science specially in space and work with related topics as projects that the association offers. He enjoys going to the beach , thinking and talking about science and coding in his free time.

My name is Timothy Willie Ross and I just finished my junior year as a Physics and Astro-Physics major at the University of California, Berkeley. I am currently conducting research in the Astronomy department of UC Berkeley in Alec Filippenko's research group, specifically in the Lick Observatory Supernovae Search. My research is transient astronomy, with my personal roles being observation, data reduction, and management. The goal of the search is to discover new and quickly changing objects in the sky, like supernovae, but also finding tidal disruption events (TDE's). I am looking forward for getting prepared to apply for graduate school when finishing my bachelor degree. I am also a member of my univeristy's marching band, the Cal Band, as well as a member of the university's developmental club Ultimate Frisbee team.
