Visit of Dr. Yvonne Pendleton

November 17, 2012

Dr. Pendleton visited the campus of the University of Puerto Rico-Arecibo, where she talked to the Saturday Research Academy students who were preparing a launching of a weather balloon for their research experience. Also, at the Arecibo Observatory she visited the Ángel Ramos Foundation Visitor Center, Control Room and the Radio Telescope Dish. In the evening Dr. Pendleton was part of the “Noche de las Estrellas” at El Morro in Old San Juan. The NASA Lunar Science Institute will help us implement our outreach program for the Latin American community.
