Arecibo Observatory at the Children’s Museum in San Juan

Members of the Visitor Center’s (VC) staff participated in an activity in El Museo del Niño (“Children’s Museum”) in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In the activity VC staff gave presentations on different topics such as: the solar system, constellations and celestial maps. Among the different activities presented were:

-An interactive trip across the solar system
-Balloon workshop in which children learned about the power of gravity
-How is a hologram created?
-Interaction with our mascot
-The importance of the Arecibo Observatory
