xband cal values measured oct03
24oct03
The cal values measured on
the hilltop test range.
The xband receiver with the new horn was taken down
from the dome and brought up to the antenna test range around 05oct03.
The cal values were measured over the range 7800 to 11100 Mhz. The plot
shows the cal
values vs frequency.
-
The cal values that use the same diode overlay each other very nicely.
The dotted line is the average that is used for the cal table.
-
There is a ripple in diode 2 values around 9500 Mhz (red blue). This ripple
is before (or in) the hybrid that is used to split the diode 2 value to
go to polA and polB.
-
The diode 1 values (green, black) lay on top of each other above 8800 Mhz.
-
Below 8800 Mhz the cal values that go to polB (both diode 1 and diode2)
drop off rapidly. This must be after the output switch in the cal box.
Ganesh thinks it is in the dewar itself. This dropoff did not exist when
the jun03 cal data was taken.
