• The usrp spectra  from each experiment were mostly placed in separated directories

• the spectra were not synchronized to the experiments.. so hf on,offs can be in a single 10 sec integrations.
• The processing used a fixed 10 second integration

• Movies were made of the echotek spectra (echotek movies)
• there ended up being 8 movies. Each movie can span multiple experiments (i started a new movie when the old one got to be around 2GB).

Transmitted power: (top)

Hf transmitter

The transmitted power was measured for each hf transmitter. The setup was:

• rf output coupler from each tx  goes to rf multiplexor (hanging in front of blue cabinet in hf ctrl room)
• output of multiplexor to fieldfox spectrum analyzer.
• fieldfox setup:
• 0.. 20 Mhz, rbw 300 khz,
• minhold, maxhold, avg 6 seconds
• the ffcom program controls the fieldfox and the hfswitch
• 6 secs each tx, then move to next..
• data stored in /share/phildat/hf/yymmdd
• Plots were made for each experiment session (see table above).
  
• Top frame: The power from all 6 tx were summed.
• the 3 colors are sums of: maxhold, minhold, and average.
• Bottom frame: The power from each of the 6 tx plotted (by color).
  
• If the experiment toggled the tx power on/off during a 6 second spectrum analyzer  integration:
• the average value will include the offs
• In this case look at the peak hold value. it will be closer to the actual transmitted power.
  

• black trace: average power for the 6 seconds
  
• red trace: peak hold value for the 6 seconds
• green trace: min hold value fo the 6 seconds.

The table of what we did, has a plot of hf power for each experiment.
